SOME HELLOS AND GOODBYES
We wish Joyce
Beaton a long and happy retirement
after 27 years as a Practice Nurse
here at Pentlands.
We are pleased to welcome Dr Satish
Ramm joining us alongside Dr Malcolm
Simmons enhancing the new team of
doctors.
We also welcome Michele McArthur as
her role changes from Practice Nurse
to a Nurse Practitioner dealing with
many minor illnesses.
REVIEW OF OUR APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
The surgery is currently undergoing
a review of how appointments are
booked and available to make it more
efficient for patients.
We hope to increase the daily
availability of appointments whilst
trying to minimise a lengthening in
wait for routine review
appointments.
NEW SERVICE
The surgery is pleased to introduce
a new service:
- DIY BP Monitoring. We now offer loan of a digital BP monitoring machine. Patients can request loan of the machine at reception after speaking to their GP.
CERVICAL CANCER
AND HPV VACCINE
The HPV vaccine will
be given firstly to 12-13 year olds
then offered to 13-17 year olds at
their school. At the moment girls
who have left school should await
further instruction.

Protected Learning Time
The Practice will close at 12.30 on
the following afternoons for staff
